WAPA Board members are passionate,
experienced and knowledgeable and effectively represent PAs across
all regions of Wisconsin.
WAPA works to promote PA career
opportunities and leadership development to help grow the
profession, and to further educate the public about the important
role PAs have in the health care delivery system.
WAPA represents Wisconsin PAs on
critical legislative issues including supervision, reimbursement,
and scope of practice, and provides timely information to members on
issues that impact their practice and/or their community.
Affairs Committee works with regulatory agencies and special
interest groups to protect and represent the interests of Wisconsin
WAPA annually hosts both a Spring
and Fall Conference, offering a combined average of 34 pre-approved
Category I CME hours.
At its CME conferences, WAPA
provides members an opportunity to meet with suppliers/vendors to
learn the latest industry information and technology, and to network
with other PAs and share ideas and best practices.
As a state chapter of the American
Academy of Physician Assistants(AAPA), WAPA regularly promotes
AAPA educational opportunities and other resources.
A benefit of membership is the
Employment Opportunities section of WAPA’s website, offering
employers the ability to post openings, and WAPA members the
opportunity to post resumes and search for job opportunities.
WAPA’s newsletter, The Pulse, keeps members informed of events, activities, issues
and other news of interest to PAs.
WAPA members receive regular
electronic communications containing timely information.
