The ASCRS is offering a day-long program as part of its annual meeting. This meeting is designed to update primary care providers on recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the colon, rectum and anus that are commonly seen in a primary care practice. Special emphasis will be placed on patient care, including initial management and guidelines to aid in determining when referral to a colorectal surgeon is needed.
