Wisconsin Physician Assistant Political Action Committee
WAPA established the Wisconsin Physician Assistant Political Action Committee in 2009 as a separate fund for the purpose of assisting in governmental affairs. The WAPA PAC enables Wisconsin PAs to have a voice in the State’s political arena.
Having a PAC allows WAPA to be involved in the political process and the formation of regulations. It creates an opportunity to positively impact legislation affecting the practice of physician assistants in Wisconsin.
The PAC relies on WAPA members for monetary support. Your contributions enable the PAC to support candidates for office who have a record of backing issues that matter to WAPA members.
Contrary to a common belief, PAC contributions to political candidates do not "buy votes.” In fact, the amount a candidate can receive from a single PAC is very limited. PAC contributions help candidates campaign, get their messages out, and get elected.
