Physician-owned orthopaedic clinic in Beaver Dam is seeking a self-motivated individual who is able to work well independently as well as a part of a team. An individual with previous orthopaedic experience is preferred but not mandatory. General duties to include supporting the surgeons in the hospital as first assist in surgery and rounding on in-patients. The clinic duties would include performing H&P evaluations, post-op check-ups, casting and splinting.
The PA must be a graduate of an accredited PA training program and be certified by the NCCPA as well as DEA certified.
Beaver Dam offers a great small town atmosphere while being easily accessible to Madison (40 minutes), Milwaukee (60 minutes), and Chicago (2 ½ hours).

The Physician Assistant functions as an independent healthcare provider who, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team including five MDs and three other NP/PAs, is responsible for providing comprehensive care to both well and ill patients in inpatient, outpatient, clinical, and OR settings. He/she demonstrates a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses, specifically disorders of urologic function. This Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will practice at 1 South Park Street in Madison and Meriter Hospital in Madison with core hours of 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM and will have one night of paid call responsibilities per week (with physician back-up).
