This past month has been very busy for all the Marquette PA students!
- The PA-1s recently received their presentation on the importance of being an active WAPA member starting now and continuing after graduation. They were excited to learn all about what WAPA has to offer!
- The second-year students just completed their newborn history and physical OSCE, along with participating in Pediatric Day where volunteers and prior MUPA graduates brought their children in, so the students could practice examining pediatric patients of all ages. It was a really exciting and rewarding experience! In addition, the second-year students joined other local PA programs and went to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin to learn about different rotations available for the upcoming clinical year as well as gaining information about the role of a PA within the Froedtert and Children’s Hospital health network.
- The third-year students are continuing rotations from all over the world and sharing some of their clinical experiences with the rest of the program!
The faculty have kept busy working on the interview process for the incoming class of 2020. Some of the students have been able to help out with interviews by giving tours of the building and campus as well as interacting and answering questions about the program.
As final exams are approaching, we are looking forward to finishing the semester strongly and for a relaxing winter break!
