A RWJ funded web site, under development, that is expected to provide information on developing a primary care practice for nurse practitioners, nurse midwives and physician assistants. Jean
Johnson-Pawlson mentioned this concept at a WisTREC site visit about a year ago. It builds on the WisTREC Employment Guide, and when completed it might be useful.

>Policy on supervision of diagnostic tests
Don’t panic when you first read it. There is a paragraph that specifically states that PAs are exempt from these supervisory requirements when they are supervising tests under their own statutory rules (i.e.: state law says we can).

>Uniform Controlled Substance Act Click on the pdf link to open the complete document.

>Wisconsin state statute regarding PA practice, definition of PAs and statutory protection of the PA title. The pertinent sections are 448.03(3)(e), 448.02, and 448.21
