Membership Levels

FELLOW MEMBER - $175
Auto Renew - $165

A Fellow member is an individual who is a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and meets the WAPA Constitution’s definition of a PA under Article VIII: is currently or was at one time recognized as a PA by the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board; or, any Wisconsin PA who is NCCPA certified or board eligible and who is a graduate of an AMA approved PA program). Fellow members who belong to more than one state academy may vote on AAPA issues in only one chapter. A fellow member has full voting privileges, shall be entitled to the privilege of the floor, and may hold office.

MEMBER - $175

Auto Renew - $165

A Member shall include any Wisconsin PA as identified in the Fellow Member category, but who is not a fellow member of the AAPA. A member is entitled to all the privileges of WAPA, except those that conflict with AAPA policy.

AFFILIATE MEMBER - $175

Auto Renew - $165

Affiliate members shall include any non-Wisconsin/out-of-state nationally certified PA, or a physician, RN or other allied health professional. An affiliate member shall have privilege of the floor but shall not be entitled to vote or hold office.

SUSTAINING MEMBER - $50

Sustaining members shall include any PA who has had at least five (5) years of membership as either a fellow member or member of WAPA, and has retired from clinical practice or is leaving clinical practice as a PA for an indefinite period of time. A sustaining member shall have the privilege of the floor but shall not be entitled to hold office.

STUDENT MEMBER - $50  - 3 Year Membership

Student members shall include any student enrolled in an approved PA program in Wisconsin. A student member shall be entitled to the privilege of the floor but shall not have a vote. Student members shall have one voting representative per PA program on the Board. NOTE: Recent grads that are WAPA Student Members can receive a $99 Fellow Membership. ORGANIZATIONAL MEMBER - $175

Auto Renew - $165

Organizational members shall include any group practice, clinic, hospital, nursing home, university health service or other institutions that provides health care and is ineligible for any other category. An organizational member shall not be entitled to the privilege of the floor, nor are they entitled to vote or hold office. PAs are not eligible to join this category.

WAPA is organized under section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code. Due to lobbying activities, 10% of dues are not tax deductible. Federal Tax ID: 39-1281325
