An important announcement: PA Name Survey Executive Summary
The Wisconsin Academy of Physician Assistants (WAPA) Executive Committee would like to share the results of the WAPA House of Delegates PA Name Survey. An executive summary has been prepared, which describes how an overwhelming majority of survey respondents do not believe the term “Physician Assistant” accurately describes the role of a PA (478 members or 81 percent).
Thus, the WAPA Executive Committee would like to acknowledge the members who indicated they would be in favor of a resolution directing the American Academy of Physician Assistants to form a task force partnered with marketing experts for the purpose of identifying a title and brand that best represents the PA profession and reflects our role in healthcare.
