WAPA’s Legislative & Governmental Affairs committee stands
ready to act on issues that will improve the PA practice environment.
The Legislative & Governmental
Affairs Committee monitors and reviews legislation and health
care initiatives affecting PAs and consumers of health care
services and recommends action to the Board either to support or
oppose such legislation.

legislation that could affect PAs, the Legislative Affairs Committee
may ask you to contact your legislator, and will help you prepare

The key to success in the legislative
arena is getting your voice heard. While all communications with
lawmakers are critical, hundreds of messages are received from
constituents every day. Key Contacts are those who have an existing
relationship with a lawmaker. Some of the most ordinary relationships
can open doors to getting the message through. You might be a Key
