WAPA Foundation Annual Awards Dinner
The WAPA Foundation Annual Awards Dinner is held each fall in conjunction with the WAPA Fall Conference and PA Week, serving as the primary fundraising activity of the WAPA Foundation. All proceeds are tax deductible and support the Foundation's scholarship program, which offers financial aid to PA students and practicing PAs who are committed to improving health, education, outreach and furthering the PA profession. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased when registering for the WAPA Fall Conference.
Honor Wisconsin's 2018 PA of the Year and recognize other trailblazers in the community through leadership and service scholarship awards at the WAPA Foundation Annual Awards Dinner, Thursday October 11 at 6:00 pm. Individual tickets may be purchased for $50. New! Suture and Skin Biopsy Workshops
Attend one or both workshops to learn from expert dermatology, facial plastics and emergency medicine PAs to hone your skin biopsy and/or suturing skills. Each workshop will include hands-on practice using a simulated skin kit. While there is an additional fee to cover the extra costs of the workshop, you are able to take home all materials (including the skin kit), to further practice your skills. You must register for the conference (full or one-day) in order to register and attend a workshop. You may attend both workshops for $110* or one workshop for $70*.
Skin Biopsy Workshop

Attend this workshop to learn how to optimally perform skin biopsies from our faculty, which includes PAs in dermatology, facial plastics and emergency medicine. Discover when to use which biopsy technique, what type of biopsy media to use, when to refer versus perform the biopsy yourself, and more. The workshop will include hands-on practice using a simulated skin kit. The extra fee for the workshop is to cover the extra faculty (student to instructor ratio of no more than 8:1) and the cost of the kit, which you will be able to take home in order to further practice your biopsy skills.

Attend this workshop to learn suturing techniques, from basic to advanced, from our faculty which includes PAs in emergency medicine, dermatology and facial plastics. No matter what your skill level is, we have you covered! The workshop will include hands-on practice using a simulated skin kit. The extra fee for the workshop is to cover the extra faculty (student to instructor ratio of no more than 8:1) and the cost of the kit, which you will be able to take home in order to further practice your suturing skills.
Continuing Medical Education
This activity has been reviewed and is approved for a maximum of 34.50 AAPA Category 1 CME credits by the AAPA Review Panel. PAs should claim only those credits actually spent participating in the CME activity. This activity was planned in accordance with AAPA CME Standards for Live Programs and for Commercial Support of Live Programs.
Lodging at the Osthoff Resort
The Great Midwestern Medical Conference will be held at the Osthoff Resort,101 Osthoff Ave, Elkhart Lake, WI, 53020.
A discounted room rate of $149 per night plus taxes will be available until September 14, 2018 or until the group block fills. This rate is valid for regular guest rooms, one, two and three bedroom suites. There are limited two-bedroom suites with lakeviews/courtyard access available at a discounted rate of $199. These rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and you may request these rooms when you book.
