There are lots of ways to get involved with WAPA--your volunteer hours are an investment into your professional longevity!!
1.) Volunteer on a Committee--more info below---email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if interested!
2.) Run for office--every year WAPA elects a new Board that governs the vision and direction of WAPA. This includes a President, President Elect, Immediate Past President, Secretary/Treasurer, 5 Regional Representatives, and Student Board members. Interested? Contact one of the current Board members to talk more about the roles.
3.) Provide support on a short term project. Often help is needed for small projects such as tracking down potential members or editing content for the website. If you have a specific interest let us know and we will contact you when a need arises.
4.) Become a PA Advocate! There is LOTS you can do! Visit the Advocacy pages today and get started!

Advocacy Committee: Committee members work alongside and provide direction to lobbyist to: 1) monitor and influence legislation that affects the PA profession, WAPA members and patients; and 2) educate WAPA membership on advocacy efforts. Committee Chair: Reid Bowers, PA-C (email@example.com).
Communications Committee: Members of the Communications Committee works with staff to ensure adequate tools and resources are utilized for provide relevant information to members and the public. They monitor and provide input for enhancing various communications platforms including the WAPA website, e-news, newsletter, press releases, and social media. Continuing Medical Education
Committee: Members of the CME committee work to provide quality,
cost-effective, CME conferences for WAPA members that include quality
educational content, qualified presenters and relevant
vendors/sponsors. Committee Chairs Amie Baumgartner, Stephanie Ludke, Karissa Hultmark. Contact: Info@WAPA.org.
Committee: The membership committee works with staff in
developing strategies to retain existing members and recruit new
members through effective communication and record keeping
principles. This committee is also charged with overseeing the PA of

Practice Committee: This committee is charged with monitoring the
professional practice climate in Wisconsin and serving as a resource
to members regarding licensure, credentialing and reimbursement. Committee Chair:
